The grey uniforms have been re-coloured to TNG standards to make them stand out as their designer felt they blended in too much with the aesthetic used for the 32nd Century Federation The rest of the cast will also be returning. Doug Jones is still a series regular and will see more of Saru's character explored back on his homeworld. Burnham remains the Captain as seen from the end of S3. Discovery will definitely not be returning to the 23rd Century, they're there to stay. Some things that we do know, paraphrased a bit from here
Ahead of time as bits and pieces start to appear, this thread will be for discussion of what shape Season 4 will take and the direction that Trek is going in the 32nd century. Discovery Season 4 will be appearing over the horizon soon, presumably in October/November but there's no official date as yet.
